Women of Classical Music: Amy Zoloto joined the New York Philharmonic as Bass Clarinet in 2016. Leading up to her hiring, Zoloto had been subbing with the orchestra since 2009. She stopped playing with them two years prior to her appointment because Zoloto had won the Bass Clarinet/Utility Clarinet Chair with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra in 2014. As a freelancer, Zoloto has performed and toured with the Philadelphia Orchestra, The Metropolitan Opera, New York City Ballet, and many others. Zoloto is an accomplished chamber musician being a member of Sylvan Winds and well as the Jeunesse Musicale Wind Quintet. The Jeunesse Quintet has performed all over Europe to high acclaim. Zoloto is a Buffet Crampon USAPerforming Artist.
